There are different investment incentives for productions created at SUPAMONKS, that truly advantage all business done in France : Tax Rebate for international productions, and Regional Fundings between our studios in Île-de-France and Occitanie.
France offers one of the most competitive incentive schemes in Europe for international producers: the Tax Rebate for International Productions (TRIP), managed by the CNC.
This program allows foreign productions — films, TV series, animation, and VFX-heavy projects — to benefit from a 30% tax rebate on eligible expenses incurred in France. For projects with more than €2 million spent on French VFX, the rebate can go up to 40%. The maximum amount granted per project can reach €30 million.
To qualify, productions must work with a French production services company, and meet certain criterias: a minimum level of spend in France (at least €250,000 or 50% of the global budget), a cultural test, and a minimum of 5 days of shooting in France for live-action projects.
The TRIP covers a wide range of expenses, including cast and crew salaries, equipment and studio rentals, VFX and post-production services, and other production-related costs.
By combining world-class talent, cutting-edge facilities, and this highly attractive tax incentive, France has become a leading destination for international productions looking to maximize both creative and financial value.

In France, regional authorities play a key role in promoting film and audiovisual creation. Alongside the CNC and national funding schemes, they have set up selective funds to support authors, producers, and production companies at various stages: writing, development, production, and post-production.
These grants, usually awarded through calls for projects, are conditional on economic and cultural benefits for the region: shooting on location, involvement of local crews and service providers, or storylines linked to the territory. They are an essential lever for strengthening the industry, and encouraging the diversity of creation.
SUPAMONKS is directly involved in these mechanisms thanks to its two studios located in Île-de-France and Occitanie, two of the most active regions in terms of film and audiovisual support.
Île-de-France offers one of the country’s most significant support systems with its Film and Audiovisual Support Fund.
This fund provides investment grants to assist the production of feature films, fictions, documentaries, series, and animation programs.
Allocations are calculated based on the overall budget of the work and, above all, the level of spending in Île-de-France (shooting, studios, technical teams, post-production).
The scheme also includes writing and post-production supports, as well as bonuses for innovation, sustainability, or exceptional expenses.
Every year, dozens of projects benefit from this aid, making Île-de-France a central player in the development of film and audiovisual productions in France.
The Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region actively supports the industry through a Film and Audiovisual Creation Fund that covers all stages: writing, development, production, and distribution.
The program promotes on-location shooting and encourages the involvement of local talent and suppliers.
The Region often works in partnership with the CNC and other institutions, increasing the leverage effect of its funding.
In 2024, more than 120 projects were supported, with a total of nearly €5 million in fundings, covering fiction, documentary, animation, and new media.
In addition, some local authorities such as Toulouse Métropole provide their own dedicated funds, further enhancing the region’s attractiveness for producers and filmmakers.
