SUPAMONKS is a French animation and audiovisual production company founded in 2007, with studios located near Paris and in Montpellier.

Specializing in animated content for children and families, SUPAMONKS has produced internationally broadcast series such as Pompon Little Bear, Droners, Best Sports Ever, and Jobs.

Our animation studio offers high-level 2D and 3D production services to animation producers, video game publishers, and development studios. From concept to final image, SUPAMONKS can handle all or part of the animation production pipeline — including feature films, series, trailers, and more.

In addition to animation services, we support video game studios and publishers in the design and development of their artistic direction, as well as in the production of high-quality assets tailored to their games.

Since 2012, SUPAMONKS has also run the SupaResidency, a creative residency program that welcomes new animation talents each year. Selected project leaders benefit from a dedicated workspace and professional support to help bring their animated films to life.

2D & 3D TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

SUPAMONKS delivers a wide range of artistic styles in both 2D and 3D animation, adapting each production to its unique universe and visual direction. Our robust pipeline, built around industry-standard tools, ensures the stability and quality of every project.

At the core of our pipeline is Maya, with Arnold or Redshift used for rendering, and Nuke for compositing. ZBrush and Substance Painter are useful to create detailed assets, and we also utilize After Effects for final polishing on some of our projects. In collaboration with a partner studio specializing in Unreal Engine, some of our productions can use real-time rendering and advanced previsualization workflows to enhance creativity and efficiency.

Our dedicated Development and IT teams provide continuous technical support throughout each production, from pre-production to final fabrication. Beyond ongoing improvements to studio-wide tools and workflows, they offer fast and tailored assistance to meet the specific technical needs of every film, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery.

Reallocation of obsolete workstations to extend equipments' life cycles,
Recycling of end-of-life WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) through trusted partners,
Render farm composed of 97.62% second-hand machines,
Purchase of new EPEAT Gold-certified equipment only when the second-hand market is unsuitable for the intended use,
Outsourced backup on energy-efficient storage media in a datacenter where 100% of the electricity consumed has come from wind power and hydroelectricity since 2017,
Innovative remote technology that considerably reduces the CO2 over-consumption associated with dual equipment,
Encouragement of greener modes of transport (private bike parking, lockers and shower available on our premises),
